According to the incomplete data in Kyrgyzstan more than 60 thousand people were subjected to repressions. The first generation of national intelligence, thousand people of different nationalities and faiths were almost entirely destroyed. On August, 31 , 1991 - next day after the state mourning ceremony of re-burying remains of victims of the Stalin reprisals found on Chon-Tash - independence of sovereign Kyrgyz Republic was proclaimed. So the newest history began... But for 16 years of independence in our country official date of remembrance of the dead victims of political reprisals were not fixed. Unfortunately, the new leaders of the state who came to authority after March, 24, 2005, many other opponents, and the public of our country could not find time for worship to ashes of innocently killed. In our country in Muslim mosques prayers for the dead today do not sound, bells in Orthodox churches do not sound, speeches from tribunes are not said, articles are not published, books are not printed, and other places of mass burial places are not investigated... We should keep memory of tragical pages of our history in the name of the future. One can't build new fine light future, having forgotten lessons of a history. From 5 till 6, from 8 till 9 of November, 1938 137 person were killed on the Chon-Tash mountain. We call to recollect them this day...
